Education at St. James Parish
Education is primary to every Catholic faith community!
At St. James we provide religious education for our children and adults.
Parish School of Religion (PSR)
The Parish School of Religion (PSR) enrolls youngsters from Kindergarten to 8th grade. Our teachers and teacher aides are parish volunteers. We thank God for such tremendous involvement and concern for the education of our youngsters!

The PSR meets every Wednesday evening from 6:30 p.m. to 7:45 p.m. during the months of September to the middle of May.
R.C.I.A. Program
Any adult interested in becoming a member of the Catholic faith, new classes are set to begin in Autumn (October). This includes those already baptized in another Christian church and those who have never been baptized in any Christian denomination. Fr. Joe Welschmeyer will conduct the R.C.I.A. class sessions which culminate on the Easter Vigil (Holy Saturday), April 3, 2010.
Adult Education
Adult education seminars and series are given during the season of Lent and they usually meet for 4 or 5 sessions during the period of Lent. Information on these sessions can be obtained from the Parish Rectory by calling 573-438-4686.

Bible Study Classes
THE BIBLE TIMELINE: The Story of Salvation
The Bible Timeline is for adults of all ages. Each session will combine a DVD presentation by Scripture scholar Jeff Cavins with time for group discussion. This will be an extraordinary opportunity for all the adults and young adults in our parish. We invite you to sign up for one of our small groups. We will offer The Bible Timeline at various times . You can sign up for a group that will meet at parish hall on Thursdays at 1:00 PM and 7:00 PM. Join us for The Bible Timeline here at St. James Parish in the Parish Hall beginning October 1, 2009 and continuing every Thursday. For more information about our Scripture study, call Sharon Forrester at 573-436-1936.
